What is your perception of a Caribbean woman? What are the stereotypes, images and opinions that come to mind? The Ill Concepts of The Caribbean Woman openly speaks about the taboos of Caribbean women that usually go unmentioned. These issues are so unspoken that many women have become isolated and consequently lose themselves.

The Ill Concepts of the Caribbean Womanis eleven chapters of entwining social stigmas that affect Caribbean women such as abortion and domestic violence, displayed through different women. Tiffany is sixteen and pregnant and does not know what to do or who to confide in, as abortion is not an option. To make matters worse her older sister stumbles on her positive pregnancy result. Tiffany’s life is spiralling out of control but she is soon

surprised by what she discovers about her sister.
Immersed, you will become engulfed in the lives of these women as their issues collide into each other. Frenzied, each character meanders on a journey of self discovery and self realisation.
